The Sharon Tigers are excited to announce that sign-ups are now open for Boys Basketball, Grades 4–6. This is a great opportunity for our young student athletes to learn the fundamentals of basketball, build teamwork skills, and represent their school with pride. ● Who: Boys in Grades 4, 5, and 6
● Cost: $25 per player
● When: Practices and game schedules will be provided after registration ● Where: Sharon Schools Gymnasium
We encourage all interested players to join—no prior experience is required. Our focus is on skill development, teamwork, and having fun while learning the game of basketball.
There will be three (3) registrations held in the cafeteria of the high school on the following dates:
● Friday November 7, 2025 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm
● Saturday November 8, 2025 from 12:00pm to 1:30pm
● Wednesday November 12, 2025 from 6:00pm to 7:00pm

INFORMATION FORM FOR SCHOOL PANTRY PARTICIPANTS

Sharon City School District  West Hill Elementary



We would like to invite your child to participate in The Food Pantry Program being offered. This program is for any and all families.

There is NO COST to the families to participate in this program. The program is being offered by Mercer County Food Pantry. The food is sent home with your child at least one day during  the week and sometimes more if we receive fresh produce or meat. Please return this form as soon as possible if you wish to participate. If at some point during the school year you decide that you would like to start receiving a bag, or stop receiving a bag, that is okay too.

Sharon Lady Tigers Basketball Program

Dear Parent & Guardians,

We wanted to invite your K-2nd Grade girls to participate in our Little Hoopers Program. Players will learn basketball basics through instruction, drills, and skill development. We will have two sessions: 4 weeks in October and 4 weeks in May. Another letter will be sent home in the Spring for the second session.



Little Hoopers will be held at West Hill elementary gym from 9:30-10:30am on Saturday mornings for our Fall session; calendar on reverse side.

Reserve your spot for the Fall Session by September 20th!



A parent/guardian must accompany the player to the first session to complete preliminary paperwork. Parents are welcome to sit in the stands and watch. Siblings must be supervised by a parent and must remain in the stands as well. Only players and coaches on the court to ensure our little hoopers are focused!

WHERE: Practice: Sharon HS Gym, Case Ave. Gyn and West Hill Elem., Games: New Castle Area (multiple locations)



COST: $40 per child. For families with multiple players; $60 for 2 girls, $75 for 3 girls, – Covers, league and ref fees. * additional charge for personalized jersey. Price TBD.



Financial Aid is available – No girl will be turned away.

Winter sports season is just around the corner & we wanted to inform you about our elementary basketball program for girls in grades second through six. The structure of the program will be the same as previous years & consist of 3rd-6th grade girls from all the elementary schools in Sharon City School District. All coaches have successfully completed the same clearance check procedures as the teachers in the district.



The focus of our league is instruction of fundamental basketball concepts, teamwork & skill development. Our practices provide all players with the opportunity to improve from the beginning of the season to the end & each player will have the opportunity to execute their learned skills in game situations. While we keep scores & records our league focus is for the players to improve throughout the season. Based on experience, those players that adhere to this concept will unquestionably improve their skills on the court.

This FREE 7 session program is offered for all African American and Multi-racial families with youth ages 10-14, regardless if a Single Parent, 2 Parents, Foster Parent, or Grandparents are head of household.
The program helps parents and their youth stay connected and enrich their relationship through support, understanding, communication, setting goals, dealing with situations, and encouragement.

If your student currently rides the SVSS shuttle to and from school this information is important for you to know.

****STUDENTS WILL STILL BE ABLE TO USE CASH TO RIDE THE SHUTTLE****

If they have a quarter they will still be able to ride the shuttle.

SVSS

When a student buys an SVSS Student Card, they must come
into or call the MCRCOG Office to add an email address to their
account and have student assigned to their account. This allows
them to use the mobile app RIDESVSS. This will only work if
they come into or call the office FIRST before trying to create
an account on the app. Once the SVSS Card and app are in
sync, they can use the app on the buses and load their account.
