Distinguished Title I Schools

C. M. Musser Elementary received the honor of becoming a 2019-20 Title I Distinguished School because it ranked in the top five percent of Title I Schools in Pennsylvania based on aggregate math and English language arts growth scores on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessments (PSSAs).  To receive this honor, schools had to show sustained academic growth for two consecutive years on the PSSAs, while qualifying for financial assistance through the Federal Title I program.

"We are extremely proud of the C. M. Musser team and their efforts to ensure both growth and achievement across our student population," said Michael Calla, Superintendent of Schools. C. M. Musser Elementary Principal Jeff DeJulia attributes the continued success to the supportive families, attentive students, and a focused and determined staff who strives to meet students’ needs.

“This recognition represents the hard work by all of our staff members, families and students as we strive as a community to focus on learning for every student every day,’ said Mr. DeJulia.

C. M. Musser Elementary will be highlighted at the 2020 Title I Improving Schools’ Performance Conference ceremony on Jan. 27, 2020 at the Sheraton Station Square in Pittsburgh.
