Sharon seniors, Lane Voytik and Tylon Eilam were honored at the WKBN Big 22 Awards Banquet on Wednesday, Dec. 11, with Voytik being named the 2019 WKBN Big 22 Pennsylvania Player of the Year.
This past year, Voytik threw for 3,042 yards with 31 touchdowns. He also set Mercer County records for passing yards in a single season, career passing yards and career passing touchdowns. He is the only quarterback in Mercer County history to throw for over 3,000 yards.
This season was also successful for senior, Tylon Eilam. He excelled with 77 receptions, 1,222 yards receiving, and 9 touchdowns, proving to be a leader on the field for the Tigers.
Both Voytik and Eilam helped the Tigers reach the PIAA quarterfinals this past season under Coach Jason McElhaney.
